School Groups and Excursions

Warrook Farm provides a perfect location for an educational excursion! Our ‘hands on’ experiences and demonstrations give students an insight to farm life. Fresh air, big sky, raw nature contrast with the 130 year old historical setting of barn, dairy, shearing shed – providing valuable insight to Australian early farming history, understanding of the farmer’s constant battle against nature and the elements over time. Our experiences include:

  • Animal feeding in the baby nursery
  • A cow milking demonstration
  • Hop on, hop off wagon ride
  • A sheep shearing demonstration
  • Sheep dog demonstration
  • Stock whip cracking
  • Fauna park visit – feed kangeroos, wombat, view wildlife
  • Historical homestead tour
  • Billy tea and damper (additional cost)
